It’s a Start
A couple of weeks ago, a small group of us got together and decided that we couldn’t just sit around while we waited on Mission Trips abroad. We decided that we need to Go-Give and Share Locally whenever we felt the Spirit move.
Don’t You Think It’s Time?
We all experience the season of Death a different way. My season started a couple of years ago when my Mom passed away. My heart was torn in two as I lay watch over her bedside as she gasped for last breaths. We knew that...
As a new Christian, we really don’t understand God’s will for our life. We do know that God loves us and that that he gave us his son to die on a cross to save us from our Sins.
What I Did For Love
Now that I am way older and a little wiser, I have found that love is kinder, gentle and generous. Love is someone that you enjoy their bad habits as well as their good habits.
I Come to the Garden Alone
The last couple of weeks, I have had the most pleasant time exploring my dad’s overgrown camellia garden. It started in early November with the first blooms of the Sasanquas and then the larger Camellias. This garden was built long ago and then passed on to my Dad when he purchased the farm.
Everything is Going to Be Okay
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” John 11:25-26
What Kind of Love is This?
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.”
Live for Today
Brothers and Sisters, you act like today is your last day. Your worry comes from tomorrow and from the what if’s of life.
All that’s left are the crumbs…
Once you have tasted His goodness how could you ever desire anything else. Look around Brothers and Sisters and see just how blessed you are. The Father has lavished his love upon you. He has prepared a great feast to honor your home coming. He loves us so much! Won’t you join him at the table?
Come to the Table – There’s Plenty
Growing up in the South, we always had our Sunday dinner right after Church. It was sort of a celebration to end the week or begin anew. No one was allowed to miss unless you were sick or dead. It was me and my two sisters,...
You Have to Let Go
Happy New Year! Most of us have finally made it to another year. A little bruised, a little wiser but we made it here. Or did we? Every year it is the same conversation. I am going to lose weight, go to the gym, make more...

Glory in the Highest
For me as a young boy, Christmas started at our house when my Mom would bring home the Sears catalog in the Fall. It was a about three inches thick and weighed about 5 lbs. it seemed. It was filled with pictures of...
Watch for the Seasons
I was asked to speak at our local WMU meeting yesterday. We were celebrating a week of Prayer for International Missions.
Yea Though I Walk Through the Valley
We are all on Mission somewhere and somehow. Life seems to throw daggers and arrows constantly. How do we prepare our hearts and minds for the daily trials of today.
I Will Wait on You, Lord
Life comes at you pretty hard some times. Death, divorce, cancer and bankruptcy are just a few to name. Murder, rape, robbery and kidnapping are a few more that you may have already experienced in your lifetime.
Don’t Give Up
“Do you see what we’ve got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He’s actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won’t quit until it’s all cleansed. God himself is Fire!” Hebrews 12:28-29
Who Am I Say?
“6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
Haiti Mission Update
Over the past years together we have fed the hungry, given relief to the poor, healed the hurting and educated the children. The Glory of God has shone throughout this barren land.
You Can Have My Heart
You have looked deep into my heart, LORD, and you know all about me. You know when I am resting or when I am working, and from heaven you discover my thoughts. You notice everything I do and everywhere I go.
Don’t Dwell on It
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Matthew 6:6

On the Other Side of the Fence
This last spring my wife Prissy and myself decided to get a horse. Prissy came to me one day and with a sweet smile and loving eyes and said, "I have always wanted a horse". Unable to resist her alure, I relented. So the...
I Will Wait For You
At my house, we have started a simple habit of listening to worship music videos before we go to bed. We used to watch the news or look at Face Book. It was a lot of negative stuff filling our heads and hearts before we slept. You wouldn’t believe the difference it makes singing about Jesus rather than hearing about world disorder before closing your eyes at night.
