Now that I am way older and a little wiser, I have found that love is kinder, gentle and generous. Love is someone that you enjoy their bad habits as well as their good habits.

The last couple of weeks, I have had the most pleasant time exploring my dad’s overgrown camellia garden. It started in early November with the first blooms of the Sasanquas and then the larger Camellias. This garden was built long ago and then passed on to my Dad when he purchased the farm.

Once you have tasted His goodness how could you ever desire anything else. Look around Brothers and Sisters and see just how blessed you are. The Father has lavished his love upon you. He has prepared a great feast to honor your home coming. He loves us so much! Won’t you join him at the table?

We are all on Mission somewhere and somehow. Life seems to throw daggers and arrows constantly. How do we prepare our hearts and minds for the daily trials of today.

Life comes at you pretty hard some times. Death, divorce, cancer and bankruptcy are just a few to name. Murder, rape, robbery and kidnapping are a few more that you may have already experienced in your lifetime.

“Do you see what we’ve got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He’s actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won’t quit until it’s all cleansed. God himself is Fire!” Hebrews 12:28-29

“6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

Over the past years together we have fed the hungry, given relief to the poor, healed the hurting and educated the children. The Glory of God has shone throughout this barren land.

You have looked deep into my heart, LORD, and you know all about me. You know when I am resting or when I am working, and from heaven you discover my thoughts. You notice everything I do and everywhere I go.
