A couple of weeks ago, a small group of us got together and decided that we couldn’t just sit around while we waited on Mission Trips abroad. We decided that we need to Go-Give and Share Locally whenever we felt the Spirit move. Pam from our group messaged me a couple of days later and said that she had heard about a movie that she thought would be good to host for our town. I said let’s do it! And from there this is what Happened.
She contacted the Movie Theater and they said Yes. She also contacted the Colleton Baptist Association leader, and asked Ken if he would partner with us, and he said Yes. We were on Go!
So last night, we hosted the movie-Jesus Revolution. Jesus Revolution is a movie that tells the story of the Jesus Movement in the 1960s and 1970s, which was a time when many young people turned to Christianity and experienced a spiritual revival.
Hosting a movie screening can be a great way to bring people together and spark conversations about faith and spirituality. It can also be an opportunity to learn more about a particular historical event or religious movement. We had almost 90 people attend and watch the movie with us! What a Great Night!
If you have any questions or would like to share more about your experience seeing the movie, feel free to let me know. As for now with my small band of brothers and sisters-We will go Local!
It’s a Start!
