We trust this newsletter will find you well and filled with the joy that comes from serving others. We are excited to share some heartening news regarding our homeless ministry’s recent activities and plans for the upcoming year.

Our ministry team leader Bill, oversees this growing ministry. He keeps records with the names, dates, and services provided throughout the year. Upon reviewing our 2023 records, we are thrilled to report a significant milestone. As of December 12, 2023, we have documented approximately 560 outreach opportunities, highlighting the incredible impact of our collective efforts.

Remarkably, over 500 of these entries have been recorded since May 18, 2023, when God sent us Matthew Moore. We are blessed to have Matthew as part of our ministry team! Matthew, driven by a profound compassion for ministering to the homeless, has been instrumental in expanding our outreach. He distributes his TEM “business card,” complete with his cell phone number, facilitating communication for those seeking our laundry services and showers.

In addition to the practical services provided, we continue to offer snack food, water, and extend invitations to Bible study and Sunday worship services at Wright Baptist Church. Matthew, with his unwavering commitment, also engages in meaningful Gospel conversations, fostering spiritual connections with those we serve. I hope that you can see his heart in the letter that he wrote. God is good!

Looking ahead to the coming year, we are excited to share our plans for facility improvements. Our goal is to renovate the bathroom facilities, enhancing our capacity to serve the community. This project includes replacing the tub with a shower stall, upgrading the sink vanity, and reinforcing the hot water tank support and surrounding woodwork.

We are fortunate to have Steve Romine, our resident carpenter, lending his expertise to this transformative project. Steve’s dedication to our ministry is invaluable, and we are confident that, with his assistance, we can achieve these improvements efficiently.

God has been faithful to Truth’s ministry with our homeless in Fort Walton. As we reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and anticipate the transformative year ahead, let us praise our Father for the blessings. As we seek God’s direction, let us not forget that He has called us all to be His hands and feet to share the gospel to all who are lost.

On behalf of Bill, Matthew, and the rest of the Truth Ministry Team,

Thank you for being an integral part of this journey.
