Today is the first day of the Mission Conference in St. Charles, MO, at the First Baptist Church of St. Charles. It is truly an honor for me to be invited to this conference. I am in the presence of missionaries from around the world, true warriors of Christ. They are from Portugal, Venezuela, New Guinea, Hungary and Africa. I have been blessed just to meet and talk with these warriors of faith, who have spent their lives serving our Lord.
I started my day with a meeting with Dr. David Shepard, pastor of First Baptist Church of St. Charles, and members of Global Ministries. We discussed the construction of a church in Haiti next year. I know the Lord rejoices when He sees HIS ministries working together to fulfill HIS work.
Afterwards, Dr. Shepard asked me to give my testimony in the two services that would be coming up this Sunday, which again I am honored that he would ask me to speak.
We all had lunch, and then we set up our tables displaying the things that we have brought back from different countries. Then we had an orientation explaining what we would be doing for the week.
We had supper with the church members, and they sat with us asking us questions about ourselves and/or ministries. Later they came by and talked with us at our display tables until about 7 p.m.
We then went into the sanctuary and introduced ourselves to the Wednesday night church group. The service was no doubt filled with the Holy Spirit as we worshiped. Norm Howell, from the MO Baptist Convention, preached an inspiring sermon about how the Lord can use all of us if we are willing.
It was a long day, from 9:30 am till 9:30 pm, but it was a most wonderful day in the Lord with my brothers and sisters in Christ.
