Today was a great day. We got up early again, around 5 a.m., had a wonderful breakfast and started our day by going to pick up the food for Z’Orangé. I was just there about a month ago and took in food after the hurricane and I knew that they needed more. We picked up rice, beans, cooking oil, spaghetti, tomato sauce, salmon, sugar, flour and some other things. Again we were so blessed that this one little market gathered up everything that we needed. After this we went to the hardware store to pay for all the materials for the construction up in Z’Orangé.
We then headed up to Z’Orangé. Pastor Dorleon and the church members, with the people in the village, including the voodoo villages, had worked very hard on the roads and did an excellent job. We were able to go all the way without any problems. All the church members and Pastor Dorleon thanked us over and over for the food and the materials that will arrive tomorrow for the school, Jerusalem II and a shade house in Jerusalem II.
We had a good trip down the mountain and actually made it back to Dottie’s on time for the first time for supper. It was spaghetti with garlic beard and a salad and jello. It was great. We are all looking forward to a good night’s sleep. We have another busy day tomorrow.
