Kenny Phillips and I arrived yesterday, actually on time, which is a first for me in a long time. Of course when you have three connections what do you expect? We arrived at Dottie’s Guest House, and Dottie blessed us with a homemade pizza. They usually don’t serve supper on Sundays so this was a treat. After a good nights sleep we woke up about 5 a.m. to the smell of coffee, and later we had a great breakfast of bacon, eggs, and homemade biscuits with homemade jam. Yea, we really rough it here. Of course that will change soon.

I had Pastor Harry pick us up to take us out to Love A Child to pick up Gabriel (2 ½ military truck). We stopped off at the First Baptist Church of Croix des Bouquets. The building has not been built yet but Pastor Harry has church there every Sunday with over a hundred people under a tin roof with no walls. First Baptist Church of St. Charles will be sending a team, hopefully in June 2009, to construct the church.

After this we continued on to Love A Child and picked up Gabriel. Kenny had never been there and Bobby and Sherry showed Kenny the orphanage. It is beautiful. Check out the pictures. They are absolutely wonderful people that have helped me out more than I can count. Love A Child is almost to the Dominican Republic. When we finished there we came back to Port-au-Prince where we went to Batimet (which is like a Home Depot in Haiti). We have several projects to order material for and all I can say is, “Praise God, Hallelujah”; they had everything that we needed. That has never, never happened. Usually I have to search all over Port to find everything. We need material to finish the school in Z’Orangé, material to finish the outside of the Jerusalem II Church and material to build a greenhouse at Jerusalem II Church. We will have all this transported up tomorrow as we take up food.

Around 2 p.m. we arrived back at Dottie’s and got a call from George Truelove who just arrived from Northwest Haiti. George came in to help us while we prepare for the team that will be coming on November 1. The team, as usual, is hand picked by God. They come from S.C., St. Louis and the Fort Walton Bch, FL areas.
