Report by Ken Lawrence
God woke us up to a beautiful, bright, sunny Sunday morning. Pastor Neal led our morning Bible study as he set the direction for our focus for the week, remembering that we have been raised with Christ. After our standard breakfast of oatmeal, cereal, and coffee, many of us went on a short walkabout before church. It’s so different than walking through my neighborhood at home. Here, EVERYONE says hello. What a blessing it is to see joy on the faces of people I recognize from past visits. The Lord binds us together even though language and culture may separate us. After church, we spent some time preparing for the days to come. It was fun to make our plans, but it will be even more exciting to see what the Lord will accomplish this week.

The Haitian and American people joined together to worship our Lord at Jerusalem church. The praise of God is a universal response to the gospel of grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. The teams from Florida and Wisconsin were encouraged by the joyful worship and praise by the Haitians – a people who have so little of this world’s goods but who are rich in the things of the Spirit. Our week is just beginning, and we are looking with great anticipation at what He is going to do to bring honor and glory to His name through the VBS, medical clinics, women’s conference and house-to-house evangelism. I had the privilege of preaching the gospel on Sunday morning and pastor Neal Schroeter from Wisconsin preached on Sunday night. God’s Word will accomplish His purposes this week.
