Coimbatore – Days 2 & 3
A typical day for the Pastor’s Conference goes like this:
9:30 a.m.: Leave hotel
10:00 – 11:45 a.m.: Speaking and teaching
11:45 – 12:00 a.m.: Tea break
12:00 – 2:00 p.m.: Speaking and teaching
2:00 – 2:30 p.m.: Lunch on site
4:30 – 6:30 p.m.: Back to hotel and rest
6:30 – 8:30 p.m.: Church service
9:30 p.m.: Back to hotel
An average of 80 people attended the conference each day as we all spoke to and encouraged the pastors, lay pastors and ministry leaders. We all had a great time teaching and learning as well. Vijay asked the conference attendees to provide feedback. We were very encouraged as he summarized the comments telling us about what they had learned and how they were planning to apply those lessons. They also stated that they would love for us to come back when we were able. Vijay will translate some of the comments and we will post the on the website soon.
Each night we spoke at the same church, with Charlie ad Karl speaking on Wednesday and Will and I speaking on Thursday night. We spoke on salvation and what our responsibilities are as Christians. We got back to the hotel both nights around 9:30 p.m., and by the time I finished packing for our next leg on Thursday night, it was 11:30 p.m.
