Coimbatore – Day 1
We arrived at the Coimbatore train station where a van picked us up and took us to our hotel (it is a very nice hotel for India). We got in about 7:30 a.m. and had to leave for the Pastors Conference by 9:30 a.m. so after a quick breakfast and a shower, we were off. After two and a half days we were finally at our first Pastor’s Conference.
Karl kicked off the first session, which was followed by a tea break (which is very popular in India). Josh spoke next and I closed out the first session around 2 p.m. We had a wonderful time doing what God had called us to do. After the session we had lunch, rice with some side items on banana leaves. There are no utensils because you are supposed to eat everything with your right hand, even though some of the food was a little warm.
Later, we went back to the same church, where we will be speaking for the next three nights, for the 6:30 night service. Charlie gave his testimony first and Will preached on how a Christian is supposed to live his/her life. Afterwards, many came forward wanting us to pray for them.
