God’s Will, Not Mine
We woke up at 5:30 AM and were ready to be picked up at 6:30 to go get our military truck, Gabriel. An organization called Love a Child is kind enough to let us keep the truck at their facility. Our ride arrived at 8:00 (flat tire) so now we were getting a late start on the many things I had hoped to get accomplished. But once again this is Haiti and as I have always said, “God will get done what God wants to get done today.” Sometimes though it is not exactly what I wanted to get done.
We picked up Gabriel and drove it into Port-au-Prince where I have a mechanic friend that has an outdoor shop where he let us work on the truck. He helped us out but not as much as he normally would because he had something fall on his foot and he was on crutches. So Will, Josh and I became the head mechanics (that’s scary). We started working about 12 noon and worked till about 5 PM while Natalie patiently watched.
