As most of you know, Haiti is in turmoil. In March TEM had to cancel 3 mission teams, and now in June we have had to cancel 3 more. The Haitians need our prayers. The inflation of the Haitian dollar is absurd; people cannot buy food for their families, and now there is a shortage of gasoline. In 1999 the exchange rate was 5 Haitian dollars to 1 American dollar, today it is 18.47 Haitian dollars for 1 American dollar. Truly, the only hope they have is Jesus.
We are the hands and feet of our Lord. He has given us another opportunity to show our brothers and sisters that we love them and Jesus will take care of them. In March when Ginette, Pastor Simon, Pastor DeVey, Dodo and Pariton lost 3 weeks pay due to canceled trips, TEM’s brothers and sisters made up their salary to show them how much we care for them and their families…they need our help again.
“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:10
