God really blessed the latest Haiti Bargain Sale, held June 1-2, 2012. Thanks to the Seniors of Wright Baptist Church and 30-35 other volunteers, the sale was a huge success, bringing in a total of $3300 for Haiti mission work. The homemade baked goods provided by Gene Holmes were a hit, as usual, making up $868 (a new record!) of that total. Gene bakes for weeks prior to each event, and now has several customers who regularly attend the sales to buy her goodies. Other items sold included everything from books and toys to electronics and furniture. It’s sort of like eBay but local, right in front of you, no shipping charges, and always $uper bargains. And the best part is that the funds raised go to advance the Lord’s work in Haiti and locally.
