We need your help. We have a small team going to Z’Orange in September to paint the school, repair desks, build a soccer field, and many other small projects to get the school ready for the new school year. We have been blessed to have enough money for the soccer field and playground, but we desperately need funds to enclose the 3 outside classrooms. When it rains the floor is nothing but mud, the children get wet, and they usually have to close those classes. We need to concrete the floors and build 6′ walls to separate the classrooms – the breeze could flow over 6′ walls and keep the teachers and children more comfortable in the summer.
We in the States cannot even imagine our children going to school without air conditioning, let alone going to classrooms with mud floors. Please pray and see if the Lord would want you to be a part of making these children’s lives more comfortable – they are the future of Haiti.
The total cost of this project, with materials and labor, is only $3500. The construction team leaves on September 5, so let me know if the Lord wants you to be part of this project. Thank you for your prayers. God bless.
