Yesterday was my first full day in Haiti. I got the opportunity to walk to the new mission house that has recently been built. We praise the Lord for His constant blessings and provisions for this ministry. As we walked back we saw Haitian men, women, and children dressed in their Sunday best, walking to church. We attended morning worship along with our Haitian Christian brothers and sisters. After lunch we walked through the valley and met with several Haitians. They are friendly and welcoming people. At each house we visited we were blessed by the people’s hospitality. We talked and prayed with each of them. We felt the presence of God and His leadership as we attempted to minister to others.
Later in the evening we attended worship, which was the first night of revival. We experienced the presence of God as His Spirit moved. We sang songs of praise and, though I could not understand their language, it was as if I knew what they were doing. They were simply praising their Lord and Savior. We heard the congregation sing with hands lifted. We heard the children’s choir, youth choir, and several solos. One of our visiting American pastors, brother Danny, preached with assistance from his interpreter. Again, God moved. One young lady responded and trusted in Christ. We praise the Lord for this and His continued guidance. Continue to pray for us, as well as the Haitian people that we are ministering to. Pray for God to be glorified.
