James Riches, from Rocky Bayou Christian School, asked me to come and share about Haiti with his class, as he has done for the last couple of years. I always enjoy sharing my experiences in Haiti with young boys and girls. Hopefully it will make them think that not everyone lives the way we do in the United States, that not everyone has Ipods, cell phones, television sets, a house, running water and electricity. These are hard things to comprehend till you have gone to a third world country and seen them for yourself.
I had a great time and I think the kids did also because they had so many questions that we finally had to stop taking them because it was lunch time. I encouraged them to think of others and to give when they can and if God calls them, to go to a third world country at least once in their life.
Thank you, James, for inviting me.
