Things have calmed down now in Haiti and are slowly getting back to normal. I arrived yesterday, and Simon and I went up to the mission house to pay the teachers and take care of other things. We went by the Sonflower Mission House, which is being built for a group of believers from Kansas. Many of you know Jan and Jola; they’ve been coming to Haiti for many years, and we are blessed that they choose to work with us in Z’Orange. They plan to start a women’s ministry teaching the ladies how to sew, as well as many other things, but the main focus will be teaching them about Jesus. As you can see in the photos the Sonflower Mission House is coming along nicely.
On another note, Simon, Ginette, Dodo, Pastor Devey and Pariton send their thanks to all the people who prayed for them and sent donations to get them and their families through a very hard time in Haiti with all the political chaos. We had to cancel 3 teams in March, and they lost a lot of money because we did not have work for them but, as always, our Christian brothers and sisters that know them listened to the Lord and we were able to pay them over $3000 (divided) to support them. They love you all.
Thank you for your prayers and support. It’s the body of Christ that allows us to help others in the name of our Lord, Jesus.
