Today was a great day in Z’Orange, Haiti. Yes, Cal and I are here, and things seem to be back to normal. We had not been to the mission house since April 2019. It was wonderful to see everyone and to see how happy they are. They are very happy for many reasons, but one is that they have not missed a paycheck. I finally got to see my dog, Lady…she was very happy to see me. We walked down to the Sonflower mission house; it looks great. All the windows are installed now.
There are a few needs here — one is a new printer for the school. The cost is about $250. We will be coming back in February, so we can bring it then.
We also need some funds to help buy Pastor Dorleon an SUV. They have saved $3000, but need some help with the rest, which could be around $5000. If you have one you would like to donate, that would be great. Or if you can donate toward the $5000, that would be great also. We will try to buy a used SUV for him in the United States. Pastor Dorleon is in his seventies; he does not need to be riding a motorcycle down the dirt and gravel road…it is way too dangerous. We have already lost one pastor on a motorcycle years ago. Madame Dorleon also has to travel by motorcycle. Please pray about this. You could help save their lives.
We also need about $1700 for cement for a building on the mission house property.
We will be having teams return to Z’Orange this year. The first one will be around the middle of February. Our Schedule page will be updated as soon as we know exact dates. We need a construction team and also a cleaning crew to clean the mission house. There will be plenty of things to do, please join us.
