Covered in Guilt and Shame
You start each day looking at the Mirror of Regret
Wishing you could forget the Sin of days gone by
We have all traveled the road of wrong turns
Distracted by the shiny objects of sin and self
Seemly inocent and something that everyone was doing
Only to find the toll of consequences cost too much
Now a little older and a little wiser
Realizing that maybe you need the Father
Just maybe this life wasn’t about you after All
How can you undo what has been done
The people that you hurt
The Relationships that have been destroyed
The Bonds of Trust that have been Broken
Is my life doomed by bad Choices
And eroded by the consequences of failure and disappointment
Is there no way back to the Father’s Good Graces
“4 But God,
being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:4-9
