Happy New Year! Most of us have finally made it to another year. A little bruised, a little wiser but we made it here. Or did we?
Every year it is the same conversation. I am going to lose weight, go to the gym, make more money, do something different, and check another line off of my bucket list. Same resolutions-different year. The Ball has dropped and we end up with the same result. Far from where we wanted to be 365 days ago.
Let me ask you this question-This year are we going to carry with us the same stuff, the same baggage that we brought with us last year? You know what I mean. The stuff that is dragging us down. Keeping us from becoming what God really wants us to be. We can’t keep doing what we want to do and expect to Glorify the Father. Being tricked by traditions and holding onto habits that no longer have any meaning or purpose. It is sort of like having a an ancient library with ancient books that are never read. What good are they to God?
“Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62
Today is a new day. Today is a New Year! Let’s make it about His Will. Not our own. You have to let go before you go on.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
2 Corinthians 5:17
Today, chose life. Today chose Christ. It is not so much about what you will be giving up.
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21
To Live is Christ! The Choice is yours. You can do things the way you always have done and end up with nothing. Or you can let go and Live like you have never lived before! Hallelujah!
