This last week our weather has been mostly rainy with a chance of rain. I am thankful though, we certainly needed the rain. Most of our crops were ruined by the drought this year. It is going to be a tough year for our farmers. Yesterday, I was looking out into my front yard. The skies were heavy and gray and looked like rain again. Then all of a sudden the clouds opened up to reveal a palette of blue sunny skies. I was remined that just on the other side of gloom and doom, the Son always shines.
No matter what you are facing, no matter what you have been through Jesus is just on the other side of the trial. I know that it seems easy for me to say. I haven’t been in your shoes, I haven’t walked the road that you have walked. And you are right. However, I have had my own trials that I thought that I couldn’t survive. But I did survive and you will survive your trials to and come out stronger.
“12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12
The Son always Shines-you are never alone in this journey called life. God gives us just enough so that we trust him. It is kind of like when you were a kid. Your Mom or your Dad held your bike as you learned to balance. It was terrifying because you thought that you would fall. “Don’t let go you would say”, and they would say “keep pedaling” and before you knew it you were riding your bike. It may have taken a couple of falls and skinned up knees but eventually you found your groove and never looked back.
Remember even in the darkest of days Jesus is the Way and the Truth. Trust in him and believe that he will save you.
“For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.” Psalms 30:5
Lord we love you and adore you
please pour out your favor upon those in need and those who are hurting
give them strength for tomorrow and hope for today
remind them that you are never far and always there for them
Thank you for sending Jesus who came to save us all
In Jesus’s name I pray
Amen
