Yesterday a friend of mine brought the souvenirs he sells up the mountain so the Americans could take home a few things without being charged an enormous amount for them in the airport. He always brings 2-3 huge bags of all types of things on a motorcycle up the mountain. He is a Christian and has 3 children in a Christian school, so it gives me great pleasure knowing we are helping a brother take care of his family by buying souvenirs from him.
Today was a sad day for all as we left our Haitian friends, especially the kids. It is amazing how attached you get to the people here. The children sit out every morning waiting on the missionaries to come out and spend time with them. You don’t have to entertain them, just be with them and show you care, just love them as Jesus loves them. Praise the Lord we made it down to Port-au-Prince to Servotel, a hotel which I highly recommend. It is very nice, and it’s right across the street from the airport, so in the morning it will only take about 5 minutes for the team to get there. This evening we will have a nice dinner at the hotel and get a good night’s sleep. God willing, everyone will be seeing their families tomorrow.
Thank you for all your prayers and support. Pastor Dorleon and the school administration wanted me to tell all the Americans thank you so very much for all you do to make their school nice.
