Haiti October 6, 2013

We all slept in a little late this morning because we were up until about 11 p.m. unpacking and getting things ready for the Monday clinic. We got up and had our morning coffee and had breakfast around 8:15 a.m. Afterward Willa led us in a morning devotion, and then Pastor Lewis gave us a few more Words from the Lord. I could listen to Pastor Lewis all day; he teaches and preaches from the heart. When Pastor Lewis finished we had about 30 minutes before church started, and then we were off to church. After listening to several groups sing – which is always a joy – Pastor Lewis preached a powerful but simple message, with Simon interpreting for him.

After church we had chips and sandwiches for lunch and the team started work again counting meds to be distributed tomorrow in the clinic.

It’s about 4:30 p.m. here now. We will be having dinner soon, and afterward Sunday night church. Please be praying for us as we try our best to show the love and compassion of our Lord this week.
