I had to leave the mission house early this morning, so there are not many photos with today’s report, just a few that Corrine snapped before I left for Port-au-Prince. I’ve had a full day gathering materials for projects. Tomorrow I’ll be picking up Betty Summer from SC and Dr. Karen Epperson from MO, so will stay in Port tonight.
Some of the team members hiked up to Jerusalem II today, a very tough, 2-hour hike. For the first 45 minutes it’s very hard, at about a 45-degree angle. Then the path smooths out for a while and you go up over a couple of mountains. Once there, the group will play with the children and hand out shoes given to us from Pastor Jesse Nelson’s church in Panama City FL (Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church), and from Erwin & Linda Scott, a couple who collected shoes at Pastor Lonnie Wesley’s church in Pensacola FL (Greater Little Rock Baptist Church). Tomorrow we will have some great photos from their hike.
Thank you all so much for your love for the Haitian people.
