Report by Pastor Jeremy
Hello everyone! What a great trip this has been so far. I’ve been so blessed to be here now 9 times with Bro. Chuck, and to have my family with me (Kristin and Miranda) 8 of those times. Every time I come I’m abundantly blessed, and this time is no different. This is a GREAT team! Everyone is from our church, Wright Baptist Church, and it’s the first time for 5 of our team members. Kip and Deb Fowler joined our church a little over a year ago. Scott and Monica Burchell and their daughter, Grace, joined this past year as well. One of my greatest joys as a pastor is to be part of someone’s first experience in Haiti. To see the joy and smiles on their faces as they embrace such a new and incredible experience is awesome! I’m blessed also to be here again with Mike and Dawn Hutchison, and their daughter, Corinne, who is on spring break from the University of Florida.
This morning we worshiped at Jerusalem I and will again tonight. I had the privilege to preach this morning from Psalm 46:10. God, through His Word, reminded us that we need to be still and know that He is God our Provider, Sustainer, Encourager, Wisdom, Strength, Shield, and Redeemer. We should never doubt that God is revealing Himself to us. We should never doubt that God speaks to us. We just need to be still and remain in a position to hear from God clearly and follow through with obedience to His leading. I share that because that is the heart of this team as we are here in Haiti this week. We didn’t come with our own agenda. We are here and are seeking God’s leading each moment of the days we’re here. For anything good that will happen this week, to God be the glory. My prayer is that Jesus will be known to all who meet us and that our actions will reflect the change God is doing in our hearts this week.
God has opened up opportunities for us to go to some different villages and show the Jesus film. We’ll also be doing some light contraction and repairs around the mission grounds. Thank you all for your love and prayers.
