Last night we all went to Jerusalem IV and enjoyed praising the Lord with the congregation there. The Americans joined right in dancing and singing praises. One song/dance lasted over 30 minutes–it was like a Christian workout! Even though the church has a concrete floor, dust filled the air. Afterward, Pastor Philip preached as Simon interpreted. When church was over, back at the mission house, Ginette cooked popcorn for everyone, and they all talked about how exciting church had been.
This morning we had plans to go back to Jerusalem IV for VBS, but we heard by radio that there might be some roadblocks on Tuesday (because of the election that keeps being put off), so I thought it best to come on in to Port-au-Prince today. We are staying at Servotel, a hotel across the street from the airport–you can google it and see how nice it is. But no matter how nice the hotel is, the team would rather be in Z’Orange playing with the kids!
