What a glorious day! We have spent the morning at Love a Child – what a great ministry! We spoke with Sherry Burnette about the medical clinic and how they run the mobile clinics. She has so much experience with the setup and how to organize the medical clinics–so now I’ll go home with all these new ideas and hopefully can help our teams run better and offer better health care to the people in the area.
I am so very blessed to be here in Haiti with this team from Wright Baptist Church. They have richly blessed me with their love for the Lord and willingness to serve here in this place–Z’Orange, Haiti. I fell in love with this place and the people here about 10 years ago–I feel like they are part of my family, and it is a great reunion each time I come. I love sharing that with other people from the USA (like taking friends to an old fashioned family reunion). I am always amazed at how God puts these teams together–just the right group for the needs we face on each trip–every trip is different and we always have the correct group–EVERY TIME I come it is the BEST group!
Oh, and to my “Happy Hookers,” everyone here loves the crochet water bag carriers–THANK YOU! I probably should explain that there is a group of ladies at my home church in SC, who are crocheting with plarn (plastic grocery bags cut into strips) and have made small shoulder bags for the water bottles and pocket books. Every time I put mine over my shoulder I consider myself HUGGED by these ladies who are praying for me at home. Thanks to everyone at First Baptist, Batesburg SC, who helped make this trip possible. Love in Christ, Betty
