Back in Haiti again. To my surprise, Simon had already picked up the truck we’ve waited so long for, Gabriel II, and taken it over to Global Outreach (a friend of ours right across the highway from Customs in Titanyen). He said they had some problems starting the truck, but they got it started and got it there. Today I was going to drive it up to Z’Orange, but had the same problem–it would not start. All battery gauges showed the batteries completely dead. We worked on it all afternoon trying to get it to charge, but nothing worked. Simon called the mechanic who got it started when he picked it up, so he is coming tomorrow morning to show us what he did. We just have to pray it is something simple and not expensive, like buying all new batteries…
I want to thank everyone for all the prayers and support, and thanks to Gary for the beautiful decal he made for the doors. Sorry about the mess I made putting one on — Gary, I guess you’re going to have to come over here and do a professional job…mine is less than amateur.
Tomorrow we are also getting parts to install the submersible pump, and praying all goes well with that project.
