My heart hurts, it is so full of love for this country. I can’t begin to tell you why, except for the fact that God has called me here, no doubt. When we arrived in Haiti and were going through Security, getting ready to leave the airport, a man who worked there looked at me and said, “You’re crazy!” I smiled because I knew the reason he called me crazy. His response was, “I wouldn’t go to Haiti with a toothpick.” I understand that this is a thought that goes through many people’s heads, even some of my family’s. It doesn’t matter what others think or say about you…it matters how you respond to God.
