On Saturday, Karl took me over to Ham’s Prairie Christian Church in Fulton, MO to stay with my good friends, Steve and Marla Arrowood. I have made many trips to Haiti with Steve and have made one with Steve & Marla. At dinner, I met Pastor Don and his wife, Julie, and got to know them. The first morning there I woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow as far as you could see. Their house is out in the country and sets on 350 acres.
We attended church Sunday and listened to a powerful message from Pastor Don. I got to know some of the members and was treated as one of the family.
The church was originally built in 1884 and looking at an old picture, it used to have two doors, one for the men and one for the women. It reminded me so much of the church I went to with my grandmother and grandfather. They have since made it one opening. They have outgrown the sanctuary and now meet in the recreation facility.
I started off on Sunday night with the Sermon on the Mount and afterwards talked about how Jesus had taken the Mosaic Law and brought it up a notch. It was a great night sharing the Word of God.
Monday and Tuesday I spoke on how we have to be willing to do God’s work before He can use us, and shared how God has used Truth Ministry. Each night I was so blessed by the people of the church. I hope they were as blessed as I was.
If possible I look forward to going back in September to play in their annual golf tournament to raise money for Haiti missions.
I want to thank Steve and Marla for a wonderful visit.
