It seems sometimes that we have been here for a long time and at the same time it seems so short. I have heard that all things must come to an end but I believe that this is just the beginning for most people on this trip. I see the Spirit of Christ has been awakened and the team realizes that there is more to being a Christian than going to church, much more. There is sadness this morning as we leave the village of Z’Orangé; some will come back and some will have a memory but I know that they will never be the same. Christ is alive and they felt Him as He showed the Haitian people His love and compassion through them.
We traveled down the mountain and made it to Dottie’s Guest House where we spent the night. Dottie’s seemed like the Hilton Hotel after our living conditions in Z’Orangé. Dottie fed us a delicious supper with hot fudge brownies and ice cream; yea!!
Saturday we got up about 4:30 am and headed for the airport. Our flight was about 2 hours late but our Lord had us make all our connections and we arrived home about 7 p.m. on Saturday night.
I pray that we will never forget our Haitian brothers and sisters as we live in the land of plenty.
