I can well remember the days when I would come home from college. When I arrived, Momma would greet me at the door with a never ending hug and kiss on my cheek. She would tell me to wash up and get ready for dinner whatever the time of the day, it didn’t matter. She had prepared a feast for me. She was just so glad that I had come home!

Our lives here on Earth are transitory. We are just here for a moment. Our Father will be calling us all home soon. We need to be ready. We need to have our house in order. I am sure that he has also prepared a great feast for our arrival. Jesus tells us this:

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” John 14:3

I can’t wait! But I know that there are few things that must be done before I go. Jesus tells us that we need to seek and save the Lost. We can’t leave anyone behind. Before we pack our bags, we should first show others the Way. It is really important to the Father that none should perish.

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

Who do you know that needs to hear of his glory? Who do you know that desperately needs to hear that He loves them? Who do you know that needs to be forgiven by the blood of the lamb? Run to them before it is too late. Tell them…Show them what Jesus has done for you and that He is the Way and the Truth!

It is hard to believe that this journey is almost to an end. It seems like just yesterday that we were so very young and vibrant. There will still be trials along the way and times of joy. Make the best of it! Cling to the good memories of days gone by and make some new memories to take along with you on your journey home. One last piece of advice while your are here on earth:

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’” Matthew 22:37

May the Lord of Lords keep us safe. May we show the Love of Jesus to everyone that we meet along the way. We Praise you Lord and worship your mighty Name. Thank you for calling me friend. We love you and exalt you. Until the day that we can meet face to face… In Jesus’s name we pray!
Amen
