My story begins with a simple phrase: “I guess so.” Raised in a household deeply rooted in faith, I found myself naturally drawn to missions as an adult. Alongside my wife, we led youth through Sunday School and embarked on World Changer Mission trips, finding joy in glorifying the Lord through service.
It was my daughter Gracie who sparked a pivotal moment in our journey when she expressed a desire to join a Mission Trip to Haiti. Initially hesitant, I reluctantly agreed to pray about it, secretly hoping she might forget. But fate had other plans. Six months later, we found ourselves at a Haiti Trip meeting after church, and when asked if I was going, I replied, “I guess so.” Little did I know this moment would change everything.
Fast forward to July 2016, and I found myself at the Truth Mission house in Haiti, surrounded by loved ones, including my daughters. It was there that I felt a calling unlike any other, a sense of peace and purpose that stirred my soul. Returning home, I struggled to articulate my experience to my wife until I finally revealed that the Lord was calling me back to Haiti. With trepidation, she agreed to follow where God led.
With two businesses to manage, including a jewelry store of 27 years, we knew sacrifices would be necessary to heed this calling. We closed our store, launched our own Real Estate Firm for added flexibility, and entrusted our future to the Lord.
In the following years, we listened intently to God’s guidance, eventually leading me to approach Chuck, our Mission leader, about taking over upon his retirement. As 2020 arrived, signaling the end of our time in Haiti due to escalating violence, we faced uncertainty once again.
But God had a plan. In 2023, after fervent prayer, we realized our mission extended beyond Haiti’s borders. With renewed purpose, we journeyed to Peru, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Hong Kong, and Kenya, spreading the Gospel far and wide.
This is our calling—to go forth and make disciples of all nations, to share the hope of Jesus with the world. With your unwavering support and prayers, we’ve been able to answer this call, reaching corners of the earth untouched by His love.
As we continue on this journey, we thank you for standing by our side. Together, may we be vessels of His love to a world in need, fulfilling the Great Commission with faith and determination.
