I am asked all the time, why do I travel so far away on my mission trips when there are lost to be found in my neighborhood.

Nothing could be sweeter than the last leg of an overnight flight. For the last 12 days home was in an abandoned orphanage in Pacsmayo, Peru.

As a new Christian, we really don’t understand God’s will for our life. We do know that God loves us and that that he gave us his son to die on a cross to save us from our Sins.

Now that I am way older and a little wiser, I have found that love is kinder, gentle and generous. Love is someone that you enjoy their bad habits as well as their good habits.

The last couple of weeks, I have had the most pleasant time exploring my dad’s overgrown camellia garden. It started in early November with the first blooms of the Sasanquas and then the larger Camellias. This garden was built long ago and then passed on to my Dad when he purchased the farm.

Brothers and Sisters, you act like today is your last day. Your worry comes from tomorrow and from the what if’s of life.

Once you have tasted His goodness how could you ever desire anything else. Look around Brothers and Sisters and see just how blessed you are. The Father has lavished his love upon you. He has prepared a great feast to honor your home coming. He loves us so much! Won’t you join him at the table?
