Praising the Lord at the Pastor’s Conference in Kovilpatti

After 10 straight days, we reached our last day to teach and preach. It was hard to believe that this was the end. We had a packed house at the church, and we all got to teach what God had put on our hearts. We pray that we have encouraged the pastors and lay people to go out of the church and tell everyone of their Lord, Jesus Christ, and to face their fears, as we have had to face ours. We truly are no different, just from different countries. Afterward, we were invited to the pastor’s house again for lunch. They really spoiled us this time with many of their desserts.

We went back to the hotel and were able to nap for an hour or so to get ready for the outside meeting. We left about 6:30 and when we got there, they were already singing and praising our Lord. What a beautiful site! I hate to say this but I do not see us praising the Lord like this in our country. Their eyes are closed and their hands are up in the air swaying like the wind while singing praises. Charlie, Will and Karl spoke and at the end over hundred people accepted Jesus Christ. The wonderful part of this is that the church is next door to these grounds and all the names will be given to the Pastor so that he, personally, will visit them. Imagine that!

We left there about 10:30 p.m. and drove to Madurai, where we arrived about 1:00 a.m. At this point, we are a little tired, but at about 10:00 a.m., we will get a chance to be tourists. Vijay is going to take us shopping and sightseeing.

God bless you all and thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for our families and our safe return.
