I was honored to speak on Sunday morning in both services. The first service was at 9:30 and the second at 11:00. In both services all the missionaries were introduced and there was a time for the congregation to pledge to missions for the next 18 months. There was also a time for people to make a commitment to the Lord by coming forward to work in missions of some kind in the next 18 months. During my time I gave my testimony and encouraged people to listen to the Lord and be obedient explaining that obedience is not an option if you are a born again believer. Dr. David Shepard closed with an invitation to accept Christ and a prayer. It was a true time of worship.

After church, Terry & Jackie Doss invited me out to lunch at a place called Macaroni Grill. His daughters, Michelle and Karen, with the rest of their family joined us and the food was delicious. Terry, Jackie, Michelle and Karen and I have made many trips to Haiti together.

Around 3:00 p.m. Karl had arranged for a group of people to meet at the trailer he and Terry Estes have on the Mississippi River. It is a place that they use for bible studies and other events. It was great; I got to see a lot of people that I haven’t seen in a while. Just about all of them have been to Haiti or have been part of the mission effort. We had some hot dogs and chips and cookies and just enjoyed the fellowship. It was wonderful to be surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses. We closed the night out around a fire.

It was an exciting time sharing and praying with brothers and sisters in MO. I want to thank everyone who has prayed and given to TEM, and make everything we do in the name of Jesus possible.
