Traveling from Port to Nan Sentrain

George and I got up at 4:15 a.m. and went to pick up the truck so that we could bring it to the CSI house, finish loading it up and be out of Port-au-Prince by 7:00 a.m. We actually left by 6:10 but the truck started running hot on the way to the CSI house. We had a radiator sent in but we hadn’t had time to put it in. I told George we would just run it till we got out of the city and then we would have to change it out. I got back in the truck and prayed that the Lord would take care of our problem and so did Josh. Half way out of the city limits the engine cooled down. I called George to tell him and he told me that Natalie and he had been praying the same prayer. Our God is amazing. Josh, Jonah and I rode in the military truck while Natalie, Emma and Gabriel rode with George in his Ford Ranger. God was so good to us. We made it to Marge Rouge in nine hours with no flats and no problems! The kids were great.

After arriving we unloaded everything, including 135 boxes of food from Feed My Starving Children Food that was given to us by Bobby and Sherry of Love A Child. This will feed many orphanages, elderly and malnourished children in this area. I will carry some to Steve and Faith in Bombardopolis for their clinic.

After unloading we took some nice refreshing cold showers and had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on some of Carol Ann’s delicious homemade bread and retired for the night.
