It has been a fantastic week so far, and today was no different. It was so refreshing to wake to the sound of chickens and donkeys rather than my alarm clock. For me this week has been all about slowing down, loving people, and watching God work. We have had the privilege to share Jesus’ parables with the children in VBS. Today’s lesson was about how Jesus wants us to be responsible, forgiving, and loving. You can see the understanding in the kid’s eyes and the excitement on their faces. It’s humbling to know that God has entrusted me with the task of showing His love wherever I am, whether in my office in Florida or a voodoo village in Haiti. Last night I had one of those moments when you ask yourself, “How did I get here?” I was lying on the ground in a voodoo village watching the Jesus film. Praise the Lord! Sometimes I can’t believe I get to be a part of this.

As you can see Pastor Lonnie has chosen a precious little girl, Danalove, for his family to sponsor for school. For just $25 a month the child can attend school for the year, with books and a meal each day. We have around 400 children who need sponsors, and we only have 60 sponsored right now. We need your help. The money goes to help pay our teachers and buy the supplies needed for the school. Please pray about sponsoring a child. We have several Sunday School classes that sponsor a child; in most classes it is less than $1 a month for each member. You will receive a photo of the child, along with letters of thanks during the school year, mostly written with crayons and beautiful pictures. Help us change a country by changing a child.
