We had a long day today, so this will be a quick report from me. I’m sure it will not be nearly as interesting as the students’ reports, but they are really tired and need to get some sleep.

The team got up about 6:30 a.m. and had their quiet time to study, and then we had breakfast and Lisa gave the daily devotion. After devotion we loaded up on Gabriel and went to a little church about ½ hour from the mission house called Palto Pentecostal Church. We started going here almost a year ago, holding VBS and medical teams. The pastor was so thankful that we would come to his little church and have the students perform their drama skits and sing for them. The Pastor and the students really loved the dramas!

When we arrived back at the mission house we had lunch, and then Lisa Eaves, Lisa Downing, Clint, Will, Chuck G, Linda and I met with Pastor Do and his school committee. Each year the school struggles with paying the teachers, because the people just can’t pay the full tuition. We met with them to see if God wants us to get involved. It is a God-size problem that only God can fix, so please be praying for us to see what the Lord will have us do. We got most of the information we need, so now we are all praying and are going to meet again on Sunday.

When we finished dinner it was time to go to Jerusalem IV for an evening service. This is a small church that is made of tarps and limbs of trees and sticks. It has a young pastor who is on fire for the Lord, and the congregation is full of the Spirit. The group sang a couple of songs, and Ryan preached a powerful message. The night was beautiful, with a full moon. You will see a silhouette of Gabriel loaded down with the team going back to the mission house.

Tomorrow we will be taking a fun break to the beach. This is the first time I have ever taken a team to the beach, but this is also the first time we have had a team stay for almost two weeks. These students get up every morning around 6:30 a.m., and don’t get to bed until 11 or 12 p.m.–that makes a very long day in this heat, so I believe they deserve a break. Please continue to pray for us. God bless.
